Paper Soap

February 19, 2011 @ 8:00 pm | Categories product review

Have you ever gone to wash your hands in a public restroom, only to find out there’s no soap? So most of us just use alcohol or hand sanitizer gels. But this afternoon while looking for a decent hand sanitizer, these packs at the soaps section caught my attention because I thought they’re condoms. Lol. But no, they’re packs of dissolving Paper Soaps.

At dahil isa akong malaking usi, I bought 2 different scents of different brands to try it myself Glam Works Lavender and Silk Secrets Rose scent.

After trying the product, I recommend it as a must-have in your bag if youre not satisfied with hand sanitizers. Theyre both easy to lather up while washing. Paper soaps may not be as convenient as liquid sanitizers but theyre more handy and hygienic than the regular soap. Each pack with 15 soap sheets only costs 11.75 pesos and available in Watsons.

How to Look Good in Pictures

February 18, 2011 @ 12:00 am | Categories tips & suggestions

People are getting vain lately. So here are the usual editing tools used in Photoshop and how not to use them:

Healing Brush  = Apply Concealer

When I edit pictures from a photoshoot, I usually lighten some dark spots on the face. It has a big impact on the portrait and gives a brighter glow on the image. For those who dont know how to edit digitally, manually fix before you shoot. Apply foundation on these darker spots to even out your color under the eyes, under the lips, sides of the nose and laughlines.

Not just to cover those hopeless eyebags but choosing the right frame of the sunglasses can complement your face structure. Lol.

Curves / Levels = Get the Right Light

Anong sikreto para magmukhang maputi? Find the light at 45 degrees angle towards you. Avoid taking pictures where the light or sun is just above your head. It will just show some shadows below your eyes and nose, nakakatanda tignan.

Liquify = Know your Angle

The more spontaneous you pose, the better. But knowing your angle can help make you look slimmer. Mag-side view ng konti sa camera and tilt your head to emphasize your cheekbones and chin pero wag masyadong pa-kyut. Photoshop can make you thinner in an instant but another way to do this is by looking tall and wearing the right clothes (please just backread my blog for fashion tips on how to look slimmer. LOL.)

Saturation = Mag-picture kung saan may Bumbilya

Yellow light makes us prettier.

Tandaan na hindi lahat ng pagmumukha ay may pag-asa sa editing so its better to fix before you click.

Smokey Eyes

February 11, 2011 @ 12:00 am | Categories beauty & wellness

From football, lets talk about make-up naman. Hehe. Smokey-eyes make up has been one of the popular looks for this season. The secret in achieving professionally made up smokey eyes is to blend colors properly. Pero para naman hindi ka mukhang nagka-black eye lang, here are the steps to have a smokey-eye look:

Take note what you need: 1) Eyeshadow Base 2) A light and darker shades of eye shadow 3) Eyeliner 4) Make-up Brushes 5) Mascara

Step 1: First, apply an eyeshadow base (concealer) to even out the color of your eyelids and avoid melting of eyeshadow.

Step 2: If you’ve chosen a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye, apply a soft eyeliner in one of the colors above the upper lash line. The line should be thicker on the middle part of the eye. Then smudge both lash lines using a cotton bud.

Step 3: To give your bottom lids the thick shade, (which will be the key to smokey eyes) apply the liner of a lighter color to the bottom eyelids. Remember to smudge the lines a bit until you get the shadow you want.

Step 4: Sweep light base color over the lids to the browbones. The shadow should also be shimmery. Thus, you have the eyeliner and the base.

Step 5: Using a brush, blend in color starting at your lash line and then applying it into your eye crease, blending up and outward. Blend color so that the eye liner disappears.

Finish your smokey eyes with some coats of black volumizing mascara. That’s it! Mukha ka nang binugbog! Lol.

Younghusband

Haha. But anyway, congrats to the hot hunks of Azkals! More winnings to come! Pa-kiss nga!
