Military Jacket

At first, I didn’t quite appreciate that military style of jacket can be a fashion trend. First, it’s not weather friendly. Second, aside from sporting a PMA look, I feel that wearing a military coat will make me look like a member of a marching band.

I thought it’s not wearable for me until I saw this piece from Balmain’s Spring 2010 collection. Lovely!

Michael Jackson is indeed a fashion trend-setter for influencing the runways with his fashion statement – the Military Jacket which is perfect for skinny bodies. But on the jologs version, I can label this as the Vice Ganda look.

Two-toned Sunglasses

Everyone can now feel the summer heat and February hasn’t even ended yet. So bring out your protective gears like umbrellas, sunblock and of course, sunglasses. Sunglasses or shades don’t just protect your eyes from the warmth of the sun; they can also serve as a fashion accessory or hide your crying eyes just like the artista shades.

Two-toned sunglasses are hip this year, whether they’re aviators, over-sized, or biker shades.

Monobrow

Regardless of being practical, I’m a sucker for high-end fashion that’s why I draw inspiration from designers and magazines, either local or international. And as I was doing a bit of a fashion research, I discovered that Vogue Germany (March 2010 ish) has featured a timeless model, Claudia Schiffer, with a Monobrow look.

Monobrow = Parang isang mahabang kilay.

They say it’s Frida Kahlo-inspired, beautiful and fierce but seriously, it looks disturbing to me. I hope this Monobrow style won’t be a trend. It reminds me of someone from my childhood…

Behold! The latest and most talked about fashion of this season…

Pick bright colors like yellow, orange or pink to stand out among the crowd. Take in mind to fit the right size to emphasize your figure and no worries because footwear isn’t necessary for this trend.

Chos! Just kidding. Talking about weird runway coutures, what the f*ck is that?!

Forecast of the upcoming trends this 2010. Do you agree?

I’m going for the natural looking make-up, never-ending innovations of Apple and anti-anorexic models but those ugly looking shoes by Alexander McQueen look weird to me. Imagine yourself wearing this…

Ansagwa and inappropriate, unless you’re Lady Gaga.

2009 Pinoy Fashion Trend

I can say that this one has been a worthy fashion trend because it fits any style – mapa-casual man or for party.

9. I wanted to have this kind of High Tops (or what they call, Kanye West Shoes) but I’m not the sneakers type of person.

6. As we bid goodbye to ribbon headband, it was replaced by Head Pieces with stones and gems. Same with accessories dahil naging uso ang bib necklace at medyo mahirap humanap ng mga ganitong accessories lalo na yung may kalidad.

1. At kung last year ay naideklarang Most Popular Fashion Craze ang Emo Style…

…matatawag ko namang The Fall of Emo ang 2009.

Let’s just wait and see. :D

Huh-reem Pants

“Pants Are Getting Weirder and Weirder everyday!
Luckily, it’s not the last fashion…
It looks like a t-shirt put backwards or something like that…”
- Izismile.com

LOL! I didn’t fall in love with the pants when I first saw it in TOPSHOP. But I was planning to buy a pair to try the feeling. Haha.

It’s called the Hareem Pants. I saw a cheaper alternative, about 450(?) pesos in a new store named Mental. But if you’re broke and desperate to wear this style, then I guess you have to stick with the idea of wearing a t-shirt the wrong way around. Wenk.

Bib Necklace

Who says bibs are just for babies?

Wenk, I didn’t mean something like that. But like this!

Fashion-wise, bibs are for grown ups too! Bib Necklaces were already spotted on designer runways few months ago, and this accessory is now becoming a fad as seen worn by local fashion icons. You can just lay this fashion accessory ‘as is’ with the simplest looking clothes and taaadaaa!!! you will instantly look sophisticated.

As of now, I think this kind of necklace is available in shops that sell vintage looking baubles. Now I want ONE! Oo, literal na one lang. Mahal eh. Haha.

Added to my Christmas wishlist!

Fashion Fail

Grabe, the underground internet trouble chorva wasted my internet hours for the past few days. It has been a lazy week and I’m still working on a dear sosyalera e-mail so no decent entry for now. Just for the sake of entertaining myself, I’m sharing some of the weirdest fashion accessories I’ve seen around. We all know that ’sense of fashion’ is about styling and making ourselves appear pleasant to the eye, but what if some fashion looks fail?

I’ve seen puppy or kitten stuffed toys made into bags but reptiles? Erm.

The Eye Ring. It looks creepy and alive.

If you can’t apply nail polish perfectly, wear them! Duh.

The Lady Gaga Headband.

Glove Shoes?
And lastly…

I bet this one’s photoshopped but caught my attention. It’s creepier than the eye ring.

Hahaha! Wala lang, ansagwa. But I think if these items were branded as Louis Vuitton, Chanel or McQueen, people will consider adoring them just like the LV Bunny ears…

if you get what I mean. :D

Anong Meron Sa Louis Vuitton?

0

Malamang eh maraming nagtatanong nito.

LV is an icon of luxury and high-class fashion.
