Hello Ms. Leyn!
I encountered your blog months ago when I was still a blogger under the name of Miho La Eksplorada.
Isa po akong dalaga, 15 years old, at medyo chubby. I mean, medyo malalaki lang yung arms and legs ko, while the rest of my body parts ay katamtaman lang ang size.
I can say na may curves naman ako pero medyo alangan parin ako sa pagsusuot ng mga damit. I tend to wear dresses because I find them very fashionable and unique – a trend which my classmates got from me. I don’t feel comfortable wearing t-shirts and jeans kasi feeling ko mas mataba ako dun, tsaka masyado na siyang common.
Yun lang po, I need your opinion po. Thanks in advance and more power!
-Miho Octobergloom
Dear Miho Octobergloom,
You know what, we have something in common, I also love dresses. I tend to slouch kasi when I’m in jeans kaya teknik talaga ang pagsuot nang mga pambabaeng damit para mag-asal babae ka rin. Wahaha. Anyway, with your case, I’ll be citing recommended clothing suitable for your figure, fashion taste and young age.
As you’ve mentioned, you have fuller arms so you need to know the different types of sleeves that suit you. Try to check out the Butterfly, Bishop or Kimono style sleeves when shopping for tops and dresses. You won’t just look sophisticated but you could also hide your arms with its loose fabric form. Since you don’t have much problem with your waist part, you can choose flowing blouses with a light belt or ribbon that fastens your waist…

Dear Leyn,
From JS to Sosyalera hehe.
#1. Kung ikaw ay isang balikbayan at balak mong umuwi ng pinas this summer, and may budget ka ng 100k, how would you budget it for 2 weeks.
Journey). Gusto ko kasi pag nag pa pichur pichur ako with Arnel Pineda, medyo presentable naman ako. Considering na winter season dito. I’m in shape din naman, diba round is shape? =)
Thank you ng super advance sa sagot mo. More power..
Camille
Dear Camille,

Ika nga, If you can’t beat them, join them!
Obnoxious Orcs.

Behold… the Biggest Heart-shaped Cake in the country!
Counting to our numerous records like the longest suman, biggest bibingka, pinaka-maraming sabaw na lomi etc. Oh diba, we’re so creative… in breaking quantity records.
Launch of Biggest Heart Cake
February 13, 2009, SM The Block
I’m sorry to the organizers but this event was not that Valentine-y. Parang pampatay pa yung kinanta nang choir that made it a bit less romantic. I think it would have been more interesting if someone should have just jumped on the cake. Wahaha!
Just dropping by to greet everyone Belated Happy Hearts Day!

I think ABS-CBN should hire someone who could QA their entertainment and news headlines flashing on screen. I’ve seen so many Typos on their shows even way back. Yes, MANY.
And for the first time, I successfully got an evidence…
…while I was pathetically camwhoring in my room at the same time watching The Buzz.
And I’m just blogging non-sense because of the date. Go figure.

Statement shirts have been a hit and a lot of brands already adapted the trend of expressing different emotions and humourous pick-up lines through clothing. I remember my first statement shirt in college printed with Life is Taft and I just gave it away kasi it’s already everywhere. That’s one consequence, you could bump into someone wearing the same design and your purpose of making other people laugh will end up in a pile of awkwardness.
I bet, nakakita ka na nang taong nakasuot nang I’M WITH STUPID -> shirt. When this “shirt joke” became a hit, I felt paranoid that I always checked the shirts of people next to me. Haha. I also didn’t like the idea of girls wearing jogging pants in public. I mean, jogging pants with adjective-printed butts like SEXY, HOT CHICK, KULIT and so on…
Printing statement shirts has also been a way of expressing Pinoy culture… and can be a medium of pranks. Naisipan ko na nga minsan na pumunta sa isang party, hug and kiss everyone while I’m in a black statement shirt that says, PLASTIK. Haha. I saw this kind somewhere in Greenhills and Market! Market!.
There’s a new released series of shirts launched by a foreign religious group promoting Godly messages and reborn personalities. And I came across one design that says…
Eh? On second thought, it’s telling us something in a good way. But here in Manila, you need to at least subtitle three sentences more on this shirt – for a lot of people to understand that you’re actually crusading a religious act. I can’t imagine someone wearing this in the MRT.
But expect for the worst, we Filipinos try everything.

hi leyn,
good day!
just started reading your blog and i noticed that you are good in noticing the latest fashion do’s and don’ts, runway looks and don’t-try-this on your next nightout look. Which brings me to why im sending this letter. Call me PICKY-EATER. I’m 22 y.o. Gay male from cebu, a nurse turned billing adviser for a telecommunications company abroad (outsourced-callcenter baby), and im borderlining chubby vs. obesity. I tried to lose weight but i still got a long way to go. Which now brings me to this email. I would like to ask you stuff regarding Clothes that would look good, err great on me, as you know the fashion industry is not that Kind to people who are plus-sized or a bit too JUICY. please indicate trends that would TRY to complement me, my body in general.
thanks… Ü
jeRemiAh
Dear jeRemiAh,
Actually, plus size figured bodies can also wear the latest trends but you just have to know the cut, style and colors. Like it’s recommended to wear a cardigan instead of an old school bulky jacket – though its design should be vertically inclined. The tips below are mentioned in general because fashion trends change every now and then. You just have to know the ABCs of plus size clothing:

Hit na hit ngayon ang mga cowboy style Checkered Polo o Checks para sa term ng mga sosyal – Check out my checks o. Chic noh? Parang ganyan. Actually, checkered printing is fine with me. I find it retro-y and stylish. As mentioned in my 2009 fashion forecast, checks will be a trend and nowadays it’s already making a comeback for men’s clothing.
Wahaha.
The Maroon and White checkered design is a classic though I don’t recommend this style for future shoppers. Dahil ang all time pang-alaska sa ganitong damit…?
Basket nalang ang kulang, picnic time na.

Glitter Comments
Obviously, meron akong Friendster. Take Care, Thanks for the Add at You’re a Wonderful Friend!
Ampaplastik! Wahaha!
Wenk!
For friends only nga lang.
